Back in the US

As you can see from the pics Melanie posted, we had a great time in the Philippines. Melanie took like 500 pictures or something! More are on her facebook page...

I am a bit messed up on my sleep, went to bed really early and woke up at like 5:30 am. But I'll get back to normal soon. I'm looking forward to Melanie getting out here! We'll still update the blog here, to be sure. We'll go visiting around Indiana, take day trips to wherever. There is a lot of interesting stuff in the States...

She'll be here soon! Then we'll go to California to visit my family...

Erik's 2nd vacation at the Philippines!

It's been a while but it's good to post here again on our vacation blog! Erik got here few days ago.. And we went to lots of places just to hang out.. Miss him a lot and it's good to be together again.. He arrived 11pm of the 5th and we are really tired and hungry we decided to just get food at Mc Donald's. Then on the next day we decided to watch the movie Avatar at IMAX! It was really good .. the movie is nice and the 3D movie was fun.. we just get a bit dizzy.. after that we just hang around, buy stuff on Mall of Asia, eat, look on bookstores and CD's which Erik love to do.. hehe He got a TERMINATOR DVD. We decided to go home early too because we'll have to go to COCO BEACH on the next day to have our beach vacation.

Making Vacation Plans

We've been looking around for places to go next time I'm out there. We found a great one! Malu, the person we rented the condo from last time I was out, she recommended this place to us back then, but we decided not to go (I forgot why).

It's a place called Coco Beach, in her home province of Batangas.

We are engaged! 07/11/09

The story behind the pictures..

I got home from work July 10 around 11:30 pm.. I was tired so i decided to lay down on the couch to rest a bit while also waiting Erik to get up.. My sister Melody was playing on the computer that time but didn't mentioned anything bout me getting a package..

While I was resting.. I noticed a box on the table just below the couch... So I ask my sister.. What is this? and she was all i don't know.. I noticed there's a receipt there and saw Erik's name written.. So i got excited to open it but wonder too cuz he didn't told me that he would send something to me... The box was fully wrapped with tape so i decided to get a knife to open it.. hehe I put all the stuff out of the box.. There's candies and stickers.. then a little thing on a gift wrapper..( which makes me feel strange?) a card, letter on a white envelope and cd... I decided to read the letter on the white envelope which is the story of how we get to know each other and what become of our relationship.. As I read the last paragraph it made me smiled.. And i was like WOW! I grab the wrapped thing and open it.. and I saw the ring.. hehe I got nervous if it would fit cuz i think i gave him the wrong size when he ask me.. Without hesitation I whispered yes, smile and wear the ring on my finger.. I am so happy... =) I excitedly showed my sister the letter and the ring.. and she was all "WOW you're getting married.. I'm happy for you" =) We'll i never really thought Erik would propose that way.. I'm really wondering how he would propose cuz of our situation.. but he did.. and we are both really happy.

I wasn't able to chat with Erik that night.. It makes me cry cuz i'm happy and also missing him a lot.. but the thought of being together soon and that we are getting married makes my heart full.. hehe

I told Erik about it the next day by showing that i'm wearing the ring.. He was really excited and happy and so am I.. We got officially engaged on July 11,2009!

It's Been WAY TOO Long since I've posted ...

Although I spend A LOT of time on the internet (I enjoy youtube and fark.com immensely), I'm not that used to blogging.

Melanie and I said, "That would be cool to keep the blog updated after our vacation!" But then again, this is our vacation blog, and our vacation is over. On the other hand, it's still possible to blog about our vacation even though our vacation is over. So, I thought I'd post one of my favorite pics from our vacation.



I forget *exactly* when and where this pic was taken. I think it was when we were on our way to Bantangas to visit with Melanie's family. Either that or it was on our way back to Makati from our visit to the Tagatay Volcano. We stopped for some bananas and some other fruits I can't remember the names of right now.

I also recall seeing a very impressive rooster. =p

I also remember it being a lot cooler and less humid here than in Makati!

Reminiscing.. "Erik hanging out with my family"

These photos are taken from hanging out with my family in Batangas. It's Melody (my sister) birthday.. so we decided to visit so Erik could meet them.. My father prepare a "dalag" fish for him which he really likes.. He said it's one of the best fish he ever taste.. Below are pictures of Erik with my parents and sisters..

He gave toy cars to the little boys too as if he were Santa Claus... He enjoys hanging out with the kids and the kids really liked him too... At first my niece Kyla was really shy.. but then they get along well too...

Vacation is Over....

Erik is going back to California today... probably he is on his way now to Korea where he would catch another plane to fly on Los Angeles.. I sent him to the airport and then go back home...This is a sad and cry day for me... not so fun right now.. =( I really had fun with his visit.. i'm so happy and I think he had a great time too..

Erik and I hanged out with my family and cousins yesterday.. We went to Intramuros and Fort Santiago.. We had a guided tour while we are riding on our carriages.. It was a fun day.. we eat our lunch at Rizal park and Erik enjoys feeding the cats.. hehe! We went to National Museum.. drop by at Mall of Asia.. then we decided to leave and go back to the condo cuz it starts raining hard.. I kept my promise to Mike i will make Erik eat balut.. so I made sure last night to look for balut vendors to buy some.. we did take a video of us eating balut.. it was funny.. Erik had the video with him.. I can't post the pictures and the video right now cuz i think blogger has some maintenance problems..

I will have to go to work tonight.. I switched schedule so I can sent him to the airport.. but i can't sleep right now so I decided to update the blog..

I hope you guys liked the gifts.. He will be there tomorrow...
